The Parks and People Foundation in Baltimore, MD needed a flexible educational space for workshops, training programs, and community activities that further their non-profit mission. The modular building had to be designed for transportation from exhibition at the USGBC’s Greenbuild conference in DC as a demonstration building, before being permanently sited on the non-profit’s 9-acre urban campus in a Baltimore City park.
Modular Genius provided a custom 14’ x 43’ Green Education Center to allow guests to learn more about the installed products and systems, many of which were donated by sponsors. The modular structure’s massing and exterior complement to the new headquarters while providing a contemporary counterpoint to a historic Stone House and Carriage House, all located on the restored site.

In a rapidly developing area, Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland needed replace old modular units currently on site in order to improving the learning environment for students and staff. A permanent, cost & time saving solution was required.
After a rigorous interview process, Modular Genius was selected to build two (2) eight (8) classroom modular buildings (each approximately 9,500 sqft) at the Summit Hall Elementary School site. Site installed Nichia siding exterior matched the existing school perfectly, and the Q-Tech Bard HVAC units are highly efficient with low noise perfect for classroom settings.

Students and faculty in West Virginia are settling into an interim modular campus after flooding last year destroyed multiple schools in the state. Modular Genius provided 73 units including a kitchen and band room to aid in the rebuilding efforts.

After flooding in June, FEMA has provided for new modular classrooms to be constructed in Nicholas County, West Virginia. Modular Genius will deliver over 45,000 square foot of temporary classroom space for Summersville Middle School, giving the students a safe and comfortable place to learn while the middle school undergoes repair and maintenance.
A Maryland Public School System needed a temporary solution address overcrowding in an elementary school.
Modular Genius provided a 12 classroom complex that would help keep students out of the weather. A corridor with lockers connects the classrooms and 2 restrooms. ADA steps and ramps lead to the main school building.
